Great Bustard – Otis tarda

Great success for our bustard friends from BirdLife in Slovakia, the State Nature Conservancy and RPS. Efforts to protect the Great Bustard are finally showing their effects in Slovakia during the breeding season. On a compensation area of the state (because of the motorway D4 bypass), which was created this year, we were able to see a young bustard today and film it. It's nice that there are finally more bustards in Bratislava again. Right next to this area we were able to observe another 34 males and 8 females this evening. In addition, 2 dead females that had apparently already died in April or June.
