Great Bustard – Otis tarda

Great Bustards relaxing and feeding in early Summer in Austria. Immature and adult Great Bustards predominantly feed on herbaceous vegetation, but are also adept at catching large insects and mice. In winter the leaves of rape seed and alfalfa are the main source of food in our latitudes.
