February 18-19, 2011: David Waters (Great Bustard Group) of the English Great Bustard LIFE+ Project and his cameraman Hinch visited 3 project areas. During an excursion with R. Raab the Great Bustard and its habitat was introduced in detail. Plans for ongoing cooperation between the two LIFE+ projects in future were made (Action E.16: Creating networks with other projects respectively Action E.5: Monitoring of the Great Bustard population in WWV, Action E.6: Monitoring of the Great Bustard population in SPT and Action E.7: Monitoring of the Great Bustard population in PPH)

February 16, 2011: Dr. Barbara Herzig and Mag. Elke Schmelzer, mammal specialists visit the project area “Parndorfer Platte – Heideboden“. During an excursion with R. Raab and D. Stieglmar the Great Bustard and its habitat was introduced in detail. The specialists concluded that the bustard fallows have a positive effect on the population of European hamster and mound-builder mouse. (Action D.8: raising awareness among stakeholders in PPH and WHA respectively Action E.7: Monitoring of the Great Bustard population in PPH)
